Osa Conservation Area
The Osa Conservation Area (ACOSA) is an administrative conservation area in Costa Rica that includes two national parks--Corcovado and Piedras Blancas--and eleven wildlife refuges and reserves. ACOSA embraces 13 major ecosystems, including mangroves, beaches, and primary forest. Over half of Costa Rica's biodiversity lives here, and if that doesn't impress you, consider the fact that about 2.5% of the entire planet's biodiversity lives here, even though the ACOSA only takes up 0.00000085% of the earth's total surface area. That's a whole lot of species in one place! In fact, there are 117 species of reptiles and amphibians, 365 species of birds, more than 120 species of mammals, and over 700 species of trees. This includes many endangered species, such as jaguars, scarlet macaws, and humpback whales.
Pandorita is located right in the heart of this wonder, on the shores where the Piedras Blancas National Park meets the waters of the Golfo Dulce.
TOURS
Each workshop, we offer a dolphin-watching (and seasonal whale-watching) tour by boat, a snorkeling adventure at one of the local coral reefs, and a kayak trip through the mangroves to see crocodiles and other incredible wildlife.
DAILY ACTIVITIES
Pandorita encourages connection to nature and to your body. Feel the leaves and roots under your feet as you take a slow barefoot walk through our hiking trails. Nibble on the fruits and herbs that grow on the land. Drink from a delicious coconut. Stretch and feel your limbs as you watch the sunrise from our yoga deck. Cool off in the sweet waters of the Golfo Dulce, or load up on sunshine and sweat as you kayak or stand-up paddle along our coastline.
