AYAHUASCA WORKSHOPS
The Shipibo have long maintained a deep and powerful connection to medicinal plants and the spirit world. They share with us a unified vision of all life and beings - a worldview that can be both challenging and profoundly healing to the Western mind. This perspective is beautifully expressed in their distinctive art (known as kené) and in their sacred healing songs, called icaros.
The Shipibo are guardians of an ancient and profound spiritual tradition. They walk their path in close alliance with the healing plants and the spirits that guide their work. We are deeply honored that they share their knowledge, their guidance, and their protection with us - the Pandorita family.
Beginning next season, we will be offering not only our established 11-day retreats, which include 5 Ayahuasca ceremonies, but also more compact 7-day retreats, featuring 3 ceremonies. In this way, we hope to make this powerful healing work accessible to more people, regardless of time constraints or experience.
According to our new schedule, we will be holding 7 retreats of 11 days and 6 retreats of 7 days throughout the upcoming season.
WORKSHOP DATES
On the starting day we will pick you up at Puerto Jiménez, Costa Rica, at 10:30 AM.
On the last day, we will take you back to Puerto Jiménez, arriving by 9:00 am.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Ceremonies
Our retreats now come in two formats: the 11-day retreat with five ayahuasca ceremonies, including a diagnostic first ceremony and a final arkana, and the 7-day retreat with three ceremonies. The dosage for each ceremony is determined in close communication between the guest, the facilitator, and the Onayabo.

Wildlife Tours
Included in your retreat is a boat tour of the Golfo Dulce to spot dolphins, whales, manta rays, and sea turtles, as well as a kayak tour up the Esquina River mangrove swamp to see birds, crocodiles, and more. Additionally, enjoy a guided snorkeling experience at Puma Beach. Please note that all tours are subject to weather and tide conditions.

Yoga & Meditation
Our facilitators Montserrat and Aum gently tune into the needs of each group and design supportive practices such as yoga, breathwork, or guided meditation. These sessions help the body to release tension, strengthen inner balance, and prepare for the deep work of the ceremonies. In the quiet mornings or late afternoons, participants are invited to reconnect with their breath, stretch and cultivate presence.

Daily Activities
Snorkel equipment, 1- and 2-person kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards are always available to you. Visit our coral reef, test your balance at high tide, or paddle up the coastline. We offer well-maintained trails that lead through the national park, providing excellent opportunities for wildlife observation. If you walk all the trails in one go, it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.

Nourishment
On ceremony days, fresh smoothies or soups are prepared to optimally support your experience. On non-ceremony days, our kitchen serves wholesome dishes that include not only vegan options but also fresh fish, meat, or other protein sources, depending on availability. Whenever possible, ingredients from our permaculture garden are used in our meals.

Integration
In addition to the nature activities that naturally support integration, both individual and group sessions are offered. The more information the Onayabo and the faciltators have, the deeper they can carry out their work.

TAKE A RIDE TROUGHT THE MAGIC OF PANDORITA♡
THE ONAYABO

Teolinda
Mama Teolinda carries more than thirty years of experience with the medicine. At sixty years of age, her wisdom flows from a lifetime of dedication to the plants and their healing ways. Her deepest allies are Zapote Renaco and Ayahuma, and she has also dieted Hicoja, Garza Sacha, Uña de Gato, and Sacha Yerba Luisa, each plant gifting her with strength, vision, and resilience. Her presence is calm and grounding, yet filled with an inner fire that inspires trust. When she sings, her icaros weave subtle yet powerful currents that guide participants gently through their journeys. She has the gift of knowing when to nurture with softness and when to call forth courage, always working with clarity and compassion. With Mama Teolinda, one feels the embrace of the forest itself—protective, wise, and unyielding in its truth. Her laughter carries lightness, her words carry depth, and her medicine carries the weight of many generations. To sit in ceremony with her is to feel the guidance of the ancestors and the steady rhythm of the earth.

Mama Mica
Mama Mica is an esteemed medicine woman from a long healing tradition. Her most important ally is the mighty Marosa plant, and she has also dieted Bobinsana, Piñon Colorado, Canela and Renaquilla. Her dedication, love, and laughter are contagious, and her shamanic power is profound, bringing potent healing. With her penetrating icaros, she pulls our deepest suffering to the surface and washes it away. Through these difficult moments, participants rely on her unwavering maternal strength. Her presence is a gift for Pandorita, and she truly reflects the spirit of the land. Love, courage, knowledge, creativity and so much humor flow from Mama Mica every day. You can’t help but love her and want to be around her! But make no mistake, she is fiercely strong, a jaguar spirit whose physical strength can be felt during massages, whose piercing gaze brings light to what wishes to hide, and whose spiritual strength is a sight to behold.

Rey Mano (Julio)
Julio has been with the Pandorita-Ani Shinan family since the beginning. He is our fluent Shipibo-to-Spanish translator, a talent that is rare to find. Julio serves as an incredible bridge between the shamanic and Western ways of viewing the world. There are many healers in his own family line, and this upbringing and knowledge serve him well when supporting foreigners in their process. In addition to his translation work, Julio plays a crucial role in the ceremonies by accompanying the Onaya throughout the entire process, providing essential support and ensuring that the energy flows harmoniously. He is also responsible for preparing the ceremonial house, the Maloca, creating a sacred and welcoming space where guests can embark on their healing journey in an atmosphere of safety and deep respect for tradition.
